RECORD STORES LOVE PABLOVE
This past April, we released a special album that we created ourselves, along with Rand Foster of Fingerprints Music, and some wonderful musicians (Glen Hansard, Terry Reid, Avi Buffalo, Joseph Arthur, Cherry Glazerr w/Mike Watt, Matt Costa, Korey Dane, LeeAnn Skoda, Mathew Ryan, Jay Buchanan, Donovan) It was a special tribute, both to Leonard Cohen and his music, but also to some of the people in our record store family we lost last year and who we still miss dearly. It felt right to give this album, LIKE A DRUNK IN A MIDNIGHT CHOIR: Record Store Day Celebrates The Music of Leonard Cohen, a charitable component, and we did. Proceeds from the sale benefit PABLOVE, an organization dedicated to funding cutting edge childhood cancer research and helping children with cancer live their lives with love and joy.
As we head into September, National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, we are happy to announce that we have donated $10,000 to Pablove from the sale of Like A Drunk In A Midnight Choir (that's Rand himself with the big check below) and that the album is still available at record stores across the country and here so you can continue to help us raise money (and hear a lovely record).
If you're not familiar with the Pablove Foundation, please watch this video. Consider a direct donation this month, or purchase Like A Drunk In A Midnight Choir and we'll donate for you.
