Coming on Record Store Day 2012 is the first Euclid Sessions single recorded at Euclid Records NOLA. The Baseball Project, made up of Steve Wynn, Scott McCaughey, Peter Buck and Linda Pitmon, perform “El Hombre” a rockin’ little number that should become a major hit in Los Angeles this summer. Sorry St. Louis, but we’ll try and get TBBP to write a number about Carlos Betran. The B-Side is “Harvey Haddix” a virtual who’s who from that small fraternity of pitchers that have pitched perfect games in the big leagues and the man who was left off said list. As far as I know, this is the only song that gives a shout out to former Indian and Brave Len Barker. The cover will be a lenticular 3-D design by artist Amelie Mancini. Proceeds will benefit the estate of the late great NRBQ drummer Tom Ardolino.
