After the death of David Bowie, frequent collaborators Jherek Bischoff and Amanda Palmer paid homage to their hero by releasing five tracks of Bowie’s arranged for string quartet and voice, with special guests Neil Gaiman, Anna Calvi and John Cameron Mitchell. A few months later, when Prince joined Bowie in the great beyond, they joined forces again to release their own quartet version of “Purple Rain”. Both songs were released internet-only, and this RSD release is the only appearance of this collection in physical form. Features beautiful original artwork by various painters done on commission for the digital projects.
