Marbecks est. 1934 - New Zealand’s true specialty music store. After a 7 year break the Marbeck family have bought back the Marbecks we all know and love, The Original Marbecks. With that said, we are now catering to every tiny piece of this vast musical world (including vinyl) along with an array of film and arthouse film. We have moved into a new shop in the Queens Arcade where we will be providing the specialty service we have always been known for. Our staff base features several experts - some have been with us for decades. Mel is the head of our classical department. Brent is running our imports service (if it exists he will find it for you). Gin is our Pop man covering all of the surrounding genres. We also have highly valued full and part time staff who between them cover it all: Al, Josh, Carla, Chelsea and Tane.
