RECORD STORE DAY

Hello. I am an independent record store owner who opened my lifelong dream vinyl shop on 7/7/18 in the beautiful Appalachian Mountains region of western MD. I stock only vinyl as my physical medium, focusing on classic and indie rock as well as other genres such as jazz, C&W, R&B, etc. I carry several turntable models as well as unique memorabilia. We are located in a picturesque four-seasons resort area with natural lakes, trials, ski resorts, etc.... I bought the historic (1910) building in the town of Oakland in May 2018, opening Flipside in July 2018 and then renovated and opened a music-themed Lounge (called Sipside) in February 2019. We are a proud participant in Record Day events. My businesses has thusfar exceeded my expectations and I expect Flipside’s reputation will only continue to grow. Directions:From Baltimore/ Washington DC: - take I-70 West to Hancock, MD where I-68 begins. Take I-68 West for approx. 70 miles to Exit 14 (Rte. 219 South towards Oakland, MD and Deep Creek Lake). - take 219 South for approx. 25 miles into the heart of the town of Oakland . Make a right onto Liberty St., go one block and make a left on 2nd. St. Flipside will be approx 200’ on your right.
