RECORD STORE DAY

Astro Record Store is an independent record store trying to re-establish the tradition of the small-town record stores in Bastrop, a town 30 East of Austin Texas. I have a deep attachment to this place having now lived here for over a decade. I owned Magic Bus Records in New Orleans from 1992-2005. Hurricane Katrina forced me to move and I spent the next 14 years struggling to sell music online and at record shows while working as an educator. I finally realized my dream of opening another record store in May of this year. I named it Astro as a play on the fact it is in the middle of Bastrop. The store is thriving and receiving great support. I would love to reward my customers with the ability to participate in Record Store Day.

Bastrop Texas is located on Highways 71, 21 and 95. We are 30 miles East of Austin. 130 miles Northwest of Houston and 90 miles Northeast of San Antonio.
