Schoolkids Records is both the youngest and the oldest record store currently operating in Wilmington, North Carolina. Originally established in 1978 by Duane Ingram, Schoolkids would serve the music lovers of Wilmington for 25 years before having to close up shop in 2003. This would not be the end of our story, however. Thanks to a renewed interest in physical music over the last decade or so, we reopened shop in 2021; just next door to our original location on South Kerr Avenue. With the largest selection of used vinyl in Wilmington, we like to call ourselves the biggest little record store in town. From rare and collectible treasures to hundreds of affordable staples, our catalog runs deep. We carry all genres and never stop buying new and used records, so our stock is constantly evolving. We also do special orders at no extra cost to our customers. If we can get ahold of it for you, that's our mission.

On South Kerr Ave between Wrightsville Ave and Wilshire Blvd. In Kerr Plaza in the building beside Sea Level City Diner. Extra parking is available on the side of the building via Cedar Ave.
