Tejano, Oldies, Hip Hop, Rock Top Ten Records opened in 1956 as a community record shop and concert ticket outlet, selling the most tickets to the Elvis Presley show at the Cotton Bowl that year. The shop became famous seven years later as the place where Dallas Police officer J.D. Tippit was last seen making a phone call, shortly before he was shot by Lee Harvey Oswald in the Oak Cliff neighborhood. As a 501(c)(3), we’re known as Oak Cliff Records Library, but we still prefer to go by Top Ten Records most of the time. Top Ten Records is the longest-running record store in Dallas, TX with a strong history of supporting local and DIY music over the past 60 years.
Directions:Located in the Oak Cliff neighborhood of Dallas, TX at the corner of Bishop Ave and Jefferson Blvd.
