RECORD STORE DAY

owned and run by husband wife musician duo Windy & Carl. together they have over 50 years of record store experience, and stormy has been open now for almost 20 years. we carry hard to find indie releases, noise, avant jazz, electronic composers, japanese psych music, and much more. we specialize in vinyl releases, both new and old, reissued and original, in all sizes. we host occasional instores by people such as devendra banhart, six organs of admittance, phil elvrum, will oldham, joanna newsome, and more. our participation in RSD generally involves bringing in a very small quantity of new releases, and then having a big sale in the shop on the items we offer all year long. we focus on supporting indie retail 365 days a year, and thank our customers for supporting us every day of the year, because we need them to be here all the time to keep us open and running. on RSD - we do our best to offer live music, fun sales, freebies if we have them, and great hard to find used records.
Directions:on michigan ave btwn I-94 and M-39, 2 blocks east of schaefer. we are on the north side of the street and on the same block as the top dog coney island. all parking is in the back, and we only use the back door.
