Yonder Mountain String Band is set to take their signature sound to the next level with their fourth studio album. This self-titled release also marks their debut with Vanguard Records. For this album YMSB joined forces with stellar rock producer, Tom Rothrock (Beck, James Blunt, Elliott Smith) and took their blend of banjo/bass/mandolin/guitar and, for the first time, added some drums to the mix. The combination has created a modern folk style with a foundation in bluegrass. This new recording features twelve tracks that highlight the band's transition into more folk/rock territories and exploring different sounds and ways of songwriting.
