More Info:

Compiled of demos the band recorded with John Cale, the Modern Lovers is highly regarded as one of the great proto-punk albums of all time, capturing an angst-ridden adolescent awkwardness married to a stripped-down, minimalist rock & roll derived from the art punk of the Velvet Underground. It was originally recorded in 1973 but didn't see it's original release until 1976 when picked up by Beserkley Records. The album is a legendary classic that was voted by Rolling Stone as one of the top 500 albums of all time in 2003. The original 9 track album is now bolstered with 8 bonus tracks with extensive liner notes on the band's infamous history.
