Deciding to go away for good, he spreads news of his own death and goes into hiding at a brothel, a place where he is simply known as a janitor named Chi. Chi lives as an underdog and slowly falls for young courtesan Xiao LI (Mengjie JIANG). Often mistaken by others as the Third Master, YAN (Peter HO) is another expert swordsman whose only wish is to fight a duel against Third Master. When YAN learns of Third Master's death, he falls into despair believing that his goal will forever go unfulfilled. When he accidentally encounters Chi, he does not realize that Chi is actually his dream opponent and even teaches Chi his secret fighting skills. Meanwhile, Third Master's former fiancée Qiudi (Yiyan JIANG) has resented him ever since he abandoned her on their wedding day, an action that has since led to a feud between their families. As revenge for her heartbreak, Qiudi tries to seduce YAN into killing Third Master. In a desperate attempt to lure the Third Master out of retirement, Qiudi commits a massacre at the Sword Mansion.
