More Info:

In August, 1960, Chet Baker was arrested in Lucca, Italy. He was convicted of drug smuggling and forgery and sentenced to a year, seven months, and ten days in a Lucca prison. When he was released early, in December, 1961, RCA Italiana organized collaborative sessions with composer, arranger, and conductor Ennio Morricone. In 1962, they recorded four of Chet Baker's own compositions that he wrote while incarcerated. All tracks were meant for various Italian films scores, but were never used. "So che ti perderò" ("I Know I'll Lose You") was later included on the soundtrack to "Let's Get Lost", the 1988 documentary about Chet Baker. These are beautiful and exotic works by Baker showcasing him at his seductive best singing ballads in Italian and playing an open trumpet on top of cinematic strings, conducted by the legendary Morricone. This limited 60th anniversary 10" LP includes a lyrics sheet.
