More Info:

The enigmatic VINCE?TAYLOR was one of Britain's most intriguing Rock'n'Rollers. He remains immortal for writing and recording the original version of 'Brand New Cadillac', the touchstone British R'n'R classic. Although his UK successes were limited he went on to enjoy both notoriety and iconic status in France during the 1960s, known for his dynamic, exciting live performances and leather-clad image (he was a major influence on David Bowie, among others). His backing group, THE PLAYBOYS, invariably comprised the cream of the UK's backing muso's and these records feature legendary guitarists Tony Sheridan, Joe Moretti and Tony Harvey, and drummers Tony Meehan, Brian Bennett and Bobby Clark-Woodman. This compilation comprises everything that Taylor recorded between 1958-62 and as well as 'Brand New Cadillac' includes collectables like 'Right Behind You Baby', 'I Like Love', 'I'll Be Your Hero', 'Jet Black Machine', and 'What-Cha-Gonna Do'.
