This vinyl edition includes two EPs, one on each side: "By the Ash Tree"and "Upstream Dream", originally recorded and released in 2020 and2021 respectively. To connect these compositions, Matt Kidd (SlowMeadow) composed new segues/crossfades from song to song, allowingthe pieces to be experienced in one cohesive and harmonious flow.From Marc Weidenbaum's "Disquiet" review: "Slow Meadow's newalbum, 'By the Ash Tree', opens with cascades of delays and proceedsthrough three tracks of reflective piano".
