The True Glory, 81 minutes, 1945. This is the stirring story of the Allied Invasion of Europe and their victory over Nazi Germany during WWII. The film is introduced by General Dwight D. Eisenhower and covers the key European engagements beginning just before D-Day through to the fall of Berlin. The production was created from footage shot by combat cameramen from many countries and the film includes individual stories, which brings the conflict on film an unprecedented reality. Directed by Garson Kanin, The True Glory won an Academy award for Best Documentary in 1945. Conquest by Air, 20 minutes, 1945. An Army Air Forces documentary that covers the air campaign over Europe, which aimed to destroy the Luftwaffe and Germany's capacity to wage war. The bombing raids of Rouen, Schweinfurt, Ploesti, Bremen and Berlin are shown. The film features many aircraft including the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, P-51 Mustang and B-26.
