Pete's Comments: This is my fifth full-length record. It's my sixth if you count my side project harmony band The Thorns. I played all of the instruments on this record with one exception, a cello on the title track, which was played by Eyvind Kang. And my co-producer Elaine Summers contributed harmony vocals. Other than that, it's all me. I played tons of stuff... I'll try to rattle off as much as I can remember off the top of my head: drums, bass, melodica, accordion, piano, hammond organ, wurlitzer, various synthesizers, electric sitar, harmonium, woodblocks, claves, cabasas, triangle, hand drums, tambourine, glockenspiel, guiro, cowbell and shakers. And I played just about every type of guitar you can think of: 6 string, 12 string, acoustic, electric, slide bar, whammy bar, high strung, open tuned, drop tuned, detuned, finger-picked, flat picked, flat wound, round wound, arch top, flat top, double stop, solid body, hollow body, semi hollow F holed, parlor type and more.
