George Marinelli - Except Always / A brand new 2 cd set from George Marinelli, Bonnie Raitt's lead guitarist for the past 20 years. From a very early age, George was recognized for his talent on guitar. In the late 70s and early 80's, he played with Andrew Gold in LA and later became a member of Billy Vera's band Billy and the Beaters. In 1982 he became a founding member of Bruce Hornsby and the Range and won a Grammy for Best New Artist. Then in 1991 George moved from LA to Nashville and became a much sought after session player playing with Reba McEntire, Vince Gill, Dixie Chicks, Robert Earl Keen, Ray Charles, Duane Jarvis, Faith Hill, Randy Scruggs, Wynonna Judd, Cliff Richard, Trisha Yearwood, Garth Brooks, Colin Hay. Peter Cetera, Rascal Flatts, Cidny Bullens, Maia Sharp, Art Garfunkel and many others. 1993 Joined Bonnie Raitt's band.
