A limited edition project developed from composer / producer Oneohtrix Point Never's commissioned pieces for artworks, performance and film, Commissions features music out of context of the recorded medium from the past several years. The collection begins with OPN's latest, composed for Polish Icons at Sacrum Profanum, a Warp staple that has hosted Clark & Aphex Twin previously. Lopatin interpreted Witold Lutoslawski's Preludes for the performance into an aptly titled "Music For Steamed Rocks" which frequently appears in the OPN live set. The entire selection was engineered by R+7 collaborator Paul Corley and mastered by Bedroom Community's Valgeir Sigurðsson. Robert Beatty contributed the cover art, and the packaging features black foil print jacket with die cut view of inner sleeve.
