Sky vinyl. Since forming in Chicagoland in 2023, New Age Thief - Savarino and drummer Brady Corcoran - have seemingly been on this sort of unavoidable collision course with fate. Joining forces, the pair spent the next two years melding influences both shared (Jimmy Eat World, Basement) and distinct (Savarino's love of nu metal and "disgusting" heavy music; for Corcoran, indie-rock touchpoints like Death Cab for Cutie) into what would become their debut LP, STARS ALIGN. Produced by Brett Romnes (Hot Mulligan, Mom Jeans) across two weeks of 14-hour days and released via Wax Bodega, the album follows June 2024's MEMENTO EP and introduces New Age Thief with a sound that's all at once classic but updated for modern times, reverential for their genre forefathers without being confined to the past.
