More Info:

'Briefcase Full Of Blues' is a glorious live R&B/Soul revue from start to finish recorded live (1978) at the Universal Amphitheatre in Los Angeles, with Belushi's sweaty growl and Aykroyd's harmonica blurts bolstered by STAX veterans Steve Cropper, Donald 'Duck' Dunn (from Booker T. & The MG's) and guitar slinger Matt "Guitar" Murphy (Howlin' Wolf and Memphis Slim), and members of Saturday Night Live's hot house band. A part of this 11-piece band recorded and/or co-wrote in the famous STAX golden sixties with Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Rufus Thomas, Carla Thomas, William Bell, Eddie Floyd, Johnnie Taylor, Albert King, Bill Withers and Elvis Presley. Not only does this album sound fresh today, it's a sincere, heartfelt tribute to the blues and soul of the sixties.
