More Info:

Defiance belonged to the San Francisco Bay Area thrash scene. 'Void Terra Firma', their second album, is commonly regarded as their best by thrash pundits. The drums, courtesy of Matt Vander Ende are top quality, technical with great time changes and use of double kick drums. This is how drum production on a thrash record should sound! The record begins strong with the highlight title track "Void Terra Firma". The riffs courtesy of Doug Harrington and Jim Adams are highly technical, much like the riffs on the debut. "Questions" is an awesome track. The intro sounds cool, and the riffs are highly technical. The cover of the Iron Maiden classic "Killers" is pretty cool. "Last Resort (Welcome To Poverty)" is an awesome closing track. All in all 'Void Terra Firma' is pretty solid from start to finish.
