More Info:

Gatefold 180-gram black vinyl. Youp van 't Hek wanted to become a comedian at the age of twelve. When he was seventeen, he founded the cabaret "Nar". He played with them in small halls for quite some time. The theaters have been full since 1984. He has been playing solo since 1986, has been a columnist for NRC Handelsblad since 1987 and gave his first New Year's Eve conference in 1989. He has now completed 27 programs and ten New Year's Eve conferences and will be retiring from the theater in 2024. A Life Long Youp contains the best sketches from all the conferences since 1982, including "Borrowing-Borrowing-Paying-Paying", "Buckler", "Ikea Bunk Bed" and "Wijnproeverijtje". Side 4 consists of a selection of his most beautiful songs, including "Nobody Knows How Late It Is", "Meneer Alzheimer", "Wie Zal Mijn Wagen Puwen" and of course the classic "Flappie". As Youp himself calls it; "A small selection from four decades of sincere nonsense and heartfelt poetry".
