More Info:

Limited edition of 750 individually numbered copies on gold coloured 180-gram audiophile vinyl. Thomas Dolby highlights his melodic tendencies on Astronauts & Heretics, his 4th studio album. Containing more personal moments enhanced by his love for technology, tracks like "Cruel," featuring Eddi Reader, and "Eastern Bloc (the sequel)" help listeners connect with bits of the past forwarded into the future. "Eastern Bloc (the sequel)" takes it's rhythmic sense from the old Johnny Otis tune, "Willie and the Hand Jive," before it comes into it's own. Eddie Van Halen's guitar skills can be heard on two tracks: "Eastern Bloc" & "Close But No Cigar." Astronauts & Heretics is Dolby at his finest and the album is one of the more hidden gems of his catalog. Time sometimes must catch up to foresighted performers, and Astronauts & Heretics is just a perfect example of this.
