The Old Way has carved out their repertoire from a process of slow distillation, fueled by the experience of inhabiting the farthest Western edge of the continental U.S. over the past several years. The music on this album was recorded in July 2012, on the cliffs of Mendocino County, California, overlooking the abyss. Engineered by the expert ears of Calvin Turnbull, the record is a finely honed musical snapshot of the duo at one moment in time.
